notebook graphicCurriculum is the vehicle through which learning occurs.  The Brookside curriculum is designed to provide a systematic roadmap through which children develop skills and learn core content for the purpose of preparing them for high school and beyond, and also for allowing students to identify for themselves their areas of strengths, needs and interests.

In general, the philosophy of Brookside is to guide children from in a safe and supportive way from concrete younger stages towards independence and abstractions.  The fourth grade curriculum is designed not only to help children expand, but also to build confidence and success.  As children get older, they are given more opportunities to expand, explore and challenge themselves.
